Centre Pompidou Accélérations Endowment Fund

Season 2022-2023

In 2018, Teréga, alongside other businesses, committed to creating the Centre Pompidou Accélérations Endowment Fund. This innovative patronage programme, led within our organisation by the Teréga Accélérateur d'Énergies endowment fund, is designed to establish a dialogue between the art world and business through art residencies and exhibitions.

Artists with residencies at Teréga

2nd season 2022-2023: Presence

After a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sponsorship programme resumed
in 2022 with the launch of a new season. In this context, Teréga welcomes Chloé
Quenum, a visual artist who works with a variety of materials and brings together
cultures, histories and references in her work.

During her year of residency, Chloé Quenum had the opportunity to discover the Group’s activities and installations. This enabled her to nourish her reflection and creative inspiration to bring life to around thirty miniature works in coloured blown glass. Their design was based on the branching system, shapes and colour codes of the underground and overhead gas pipeline networks on the Teréga site.

Chloé Quenum’s works are on public display at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Pau from 4 July to 11 October 2023. They will then move to the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Centre Pompidou Accélérations gets the arts talking to business

The Centre Pompidou Accélérations Endowment Fund is inspired by the vision of Georges Pompidou to have modern art seen by as many people as possible. By establishing a dialogue between the art world and the business world, this patronage programme brings about unprecedented encounters, creating inspiration for artists and business partners alike.

The programme runs on a seasonal basis, each season lasting two years. They focus on a theme that should encourage reflection across society. These seasons are marked by:

  • An event at the Pompidou Centre to launch the season, and consideration of the chosen theme. It brings together businesses, artists, and people working in research, science, the economy and other areas…

  • Artist residencies running for four to six months within member companies, during which artists create works on the season’s theme.

  • An exhibition at the Pompidou Centre to present those works to the general public.

The works produced during the artist residencies are then incorporated into the Pompidou’s Centre’s collections, as a gift.
