How are gas flows managed on the Teréga grid?

Gas flow management is based on a complex and ongoing arbitrage system. Our mission is to supply predefined quantities of gas, of the required quality, to the different interface points, regardless of weather conditions.

To do that, we rely on daily detailed weather forecasts, consumption history and our customers’ needs. The data we collect is fed into computer models which are fine-tuned for each geographical area.

Using a simulation tool, we can identify requirements in terms of quantity and pressure, adjust flows and spot any possible saturation points. Our Gas Movement Service team oversees the proper management of flows across our entire grid, in association with the adjacent operators, and ensures there is continuous monitoring to detect any possible failure.
