Solid recovered fuel includes waste that can be recovered for the production of renewable energy.
SRFs include non-hazardous dry waste that can be used for incineration in:
incineration plants for the production of electricity and steam,
industrial furnaces in cement works, blast furnaces, etc.,
boilers supplying heat networks.
This process can be used to recover waste that cannot be recycled and to increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix.
