Compression stations are used to regulate the rate of flow and pressure in the gas transport grid.
They draw in the low pressure gas, then expel it at a higher pressure so that it can travel through the grid. When located at junctions, they can also help direct the gas in the desired direction, according to customer needs.
At Teréga, our compression resources have, over time, been replaced by electric compressors, which produce lower emissions. We have also developed a digital tool we can use to optimise the management of our machinery in real time, factoring in COtype: embedded-entry-inline id: 7fYcc9YuJud9vEp1SSykki emissions.
Security of supply: From Tuesday November 1st, the capacity expansion of the Artère de l'Adour interconnection will be available to increase flows from Spain to France
