DT and DICT: what’s the difference?

The Work Plan Declaration (DT) and Declaration of Intention to Commence Work (DICT) are mandatory steps that must be completed before you start your works.

First of all, when defining the project, the person responsible for the works must fill in a DT to make sure their project is compatible with the public service networks (gas, telecommunications, water, drains) already in place.

The person undertaking the works must then complete a DICT before starting the project to warn the network operators about the duration of the works and their exact location.

If those responsible for and undertaking the works are one and the same person, a joint DT-DICT can be completed.
