Adopted at COP21 in December 2015, the Paris Agreement is an international treaty that commits 196 states, along with the European Union, to holding global warming well below 2 °C, and 1.5 °C if possible, on pre-industrial levels. The ultimate aim being to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
To meet those commitments, since 2017 Teréga has been running its “BE Positif” programme, which aims for a progressive reduction in the environmental footprint left by its activities.
A particular target for the Group is the development of renewable gases (such as biomethane and green hydrogen), seen as essential tools for decarbonisation, alongside other sustainable energy sources.
