What is the difference between QWL and QLWC?

While QWL and QLWC processes share the same aim of encouraging health and wellbeing in the workplace to improve the organisation’s performance, QLWC covers a greater number of factors. It is not just a matter of acting on the work environment, to which a number of QWL processes were limited, but rather to improve the work and the conditions under which it is done.

QLWC therefore encompasses issues such as:

• interest of the work;

• workload;

• scope for autonomy;

• the quality of relations between employees;

• each individual’s involvement in the development of the organisation.
