Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QLWC) is an extension of Quality of Working Life (QWL). It officially superseded it on 31 March 2022.
While QWL and QLWC processes share the same aim of encouraging health and wellbeing in the workplace to improve the organisation’s performance, QLWC covers a greater number of factors. It is not just a matter of acting on the work environment, to which a number of QWL processes were limited, but rather to improve the work and the conditions under which it is done.
QLWC therefore encompasses issues such as:
interest of the work;
workload;
scope for autonomy;
the quality of relations between employees;
each individual’s involvement in the development of the organisation.
Teréga has made social dialogue one of the drivers of wellbeing in the workplace through its QLWC programme and its corporate social responsibility more generally.
