Transport du gaz
2021-2028
With 35 km of pipelines to renew between Saint-Romain-Le-Noble, Valence d’Agen and Caumont, the Valence d’Agen project guarantees the integrity and security of gas infrastructures in Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It fits perfectly into the territories’ energy transition, guaranteeing the transport of more secure and more sustainable gas supplies.
Situated between the communes of Saint-Romain-Le-Noble, Valence d'Agen and Caumont, the Valence d'Agen project is a response to the challenge of modernising and securing our gas transport infrastructures in Nouvelle Aquitaine and Occitanie.
With nearly 35 km of pipelines more than 70 years old, Teréga needs to renew its network, if it is to satisfy regulatory and technical requirements.
Like all projects to renew and modernise our infrastructure, it demonstrates Teréga’s commitment to helping develop the territories. Through the Valence d'Agen project, Teréga is connecting a methanisation station (Garonne Biogaz) and connecting two GRDF public distribution stations in the communes of Lamagistère and Valence d'Agen.
The PLUi (intercommunal local urbanisation plan) compatibility adjustment is necessitated by the natural gas transport pipeline construction project (“VALENCE D’AGEN” project) led by Teréga.
The route of the future pipeline would cross “classified woodland spaces” in the communes of Caudecoste (Lot-et-Garonne), Saint-Sixte (Lot-et-Garonne) and Saint-Michel (Tarn-et-Garonne). To enable the project to be compatible with the PLUi, it is necessary to adjust the zoning of the classified woodland space over the future construction.
This compatibility adjustment is subject to public consultation under the Urbanisation Code, running from 5 May to 20 May 2025 (midnight).
This consultation, arranged as per the requirements of the Urbanisation Code (Art. L103-2), is intended to:
raise awareness of the plan to achieve PLUi compatibility,
raise awareness among the population, and particularly neighbours, of what it entails,
allow any interested party to make comments.
A consultation pack will be made available to the public throughout the consultation:
in a printed version from the Town Halls at Saint-Sixte, Caudecoste and Saint-Michel, and at the head offices of the 2 Rives community of communes and the Agen Agglomeration
in digital format from www.terega.fr/projet/valence-dagen/
If you wish to find out more about the project, the following explanatory notices and PLU compatibility adjustment packs are available for you to read:
