What is Ecogaz?

This “gas barometer” is designed to support the government’s energy frugality plan by informing consumers about the strain on the grid, to encourage moderation and prevent possible measures being taken to reduce consumption.

This tool is aimed at the public, local authorities and businesses, and provides real-time information about the current situation on the gas system. Every day, a colour-coded signal (green, orange or red) is published on the website, showing the amount of strain on the gas network.

Alerts can then be emailed to subscribers, to encourage them to reduce their consumption at times of peak demand.
