Commissioned in 1974, the pipeline connecting the municipalities of Narbonne (11) and Claira (66) must be replaced to guarantee the security of the territories' energy supply.

Built in 1974, the pipeline connecting the municipalities of Narbonne (11) and Claira (66) is undergoing a renewal process to guarantee the long-term continuity and security of regional natural gas supplies for both public and industrial consumers.
Goals
- Replacement of 52 km of pipelines and creation of a new 57.9 km pipeline
- Bringing a pipeline over 50 years old up to modern standards
- Securing the gas supply for local public distribution networks and industrial consumers
Schedule
2024 - 2025: Studies
January 2026: Filing of the DACE (Demande d'Autorisation de Construire et d'Exploiter - Application for Authorization to Construct and Operate)
January 2027: Public inquiry
July 2027: Obtaining of prefectural orders
September 2027: Start of construction works
Late 2028 - Early 2029: Commissioning and decommissioning of the old pipeline
