What is ADEME?
ADEME is an industrial and commercial public body (EPIC) which has been working for 30 years to combat climate change and damage to resources.
Answerable to the ecological transition and territorial cohesion, energy transition, and higher education and research ministries, ADEME works to construct public policy in the fields of the environment, energy and sustainable development. It’s missions, organisation and operating methods are set by the environmental code.
Spread across the whole of France, the agency makes its expertise available to all actors (the State, business, local authorities, private citizens) to speed up reductions in energy consumption, to develop renewable energies and to reduce greenhouse gases. ADEME also supports innovation and research by helping finance numerous projects.
