What is biomethane?

Biomethane is a gas with high methane content, produced by the fermentation of organic matter.

This is a 100% renewable energy source, provides a profitable way to recycle waste, and can be part of a circular economy approach. Biomethane can be injected into the natural gas transport network or be transformed into heat, electricity, or even fuel for vehicles (bioNGV).
